Who We Are

Welcome to our Blog, we're the McConnells and the Hughes. There are five of us living in one house plus a dog and a cat. There used to be six of us plus another cat, but Kayleen moved to Salt Lake City, Utah almost a year ago with her cat Mapel.

So let's break each of us down.

Dwaine McConnell: This is the Dad, the head of the house. He works two jobs, at the Nevada Visitor Center and we're sure you've seen him at his other job at the local Smith's grocery store. He works there mostly in the evenings. He enjoys reading, watching tv and movies, and working on geneaology.

Cloie: Is the family dog, she's a full miniature Schnauzer who loves to bark! She's silver in color and has a fun personality.

JoAnne Hughes McConnell: This is the Mommy (lol had to make that joke), she's a stay at home Mom (even though her only child is grown) due to health issues. She enjoys music, movies and tv as well as reading. She has a Facebook so check it out.

Catya (Cat) McConnell: This would be the only child. She works at the Redd Hills Cinema and has her own blog which you'll find it our Followers as well as a Facebook and other sites of interest (see her blog for more details). She enjoys similiar things as her parents do as well as History, Religion and writing. She has a cat named Skampur who thinks he's king of the house and rules the roost. He likes to get into trouble and has all sorts of hiding places around the house. He's a yellow tabby.

Now for the Hughes-

Verna Holt Hughes: Verna is JoAnne, Howard and Kayleen's Mother. She likes her tv shows and puzzle books and enjoys card games. She lost her eldest child a son when he was eight and her husband much later on in life.

Howard Hughes: Howard is Verna's eldest living son. He enjoys music able to play the piano and compose a little. He enjoys creating house plans and doing puzzle books like his Mother. He also has a Facebook.

Kayleen Hughes: Kayleen is Verna's youngest, she lives in Salt Lake City (we joke with her about leaving Mesquite to goto the Promised Land.) She too enjoys music and recently changed jobs and is now employed by the St. Regis in Park City, Utah and is looking to relocate up there. She has a cat named Mapel who she calls her special kitty that likes to get into all sorts of trouble. Don't forget to check out her Facebook too.
